Governance of the children's charity
The Starlight Children's Foundation Australia is a company limited by guarantee. The company is a not-for-profit organisation and is an income tax exempt charity, with deductible gift recipient status.
The Starlight Board and executive team are committed to the highest level of ethics in the management and governance of Starlight, ensuring full transparency and accountability at all times and compliance with Starlight’s Values. Starlight’s non executive directors do not receive any fees.
The two underlying principles governing every decision and action are:
- This is not our money, we are only the trustees for the donors.

National Board of Directors
The Starlight Children's Foundation Board of Directors consists of 14 independent non-executive directors and one executive director, Jill Weekes. Combined, the Board brings a wide range of business and commercial skills to Starlight, spanning numerous industries and sectors.
