Six-year-old Yasmine is the third child in her family to be born with a severe genetic skin condition requiring daily treatment of exfoliation and special creams to moisturise the skin.
The condition can be very painful, restricting her range of movement, joints, and hearing. Yasmine sometimes wonders why she looks different from the other kids, but she does not feel alone as she has her sisters and loving family around for support.
Yasmine and her two sisters were all born with this condition which they will have to learn to manage for the rest of their lives.
Yasmine is an outgoing girl who loves music, dancing and drawing. She loves Captain Starlight and visiting the Starlight Express Room when in hospital – and her favourite colours are even purple and yellow!
Yasmine's special Starlight Wish is to visit the characters at MovieWorld on the Gold Coast with her family! More than anything, she hopes to meet a princess because “princesses are beautiful and they have nice skin.”
