Captain Starlight’s sole purpose is to bring smiles to sick children by distracting them from their illness and pain using entertainment and engagement.
In the eyes of a child, Captain Starlight is a magical super hero, bringing laughter, games, magic and all kinds of fun activities into their lives. Captain Starlight helps children forget they are chronically unwell.
The team of Starlight Captains work their magic across numerous Starlight programs.
Captain Starlight entertains in the Starlight Express Rooms in seven major paediatric hospitals around Australia including the Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick, and the Mater Children's Hospital in Brisbane. They also pilot the Starlight Express Van, delighting sick kids in regional and outer metropolitan areas and bringing smiles and laughter to as many children and their families as possible.
