Fremantle Football Club's first home game of the season versus Hawthorn will be dedicated to raising funds for Starlight. Proudly supported by Fremantle Ports, the 2008 Starlight Purple Haze Game will give footy fans the chance to bring smiles to seriously ill children by donating to Starlight outside Subiaco Oval before the game. The match will also act as a Starlight Escape for our Starlight families, who will get to meet with Dockers players before the game. One special Starlight child will have the chance to ‘toss the coin’ prior to the match.
In 2007, with the assistance of 180 volunteers, a record $43,363 was raised.
Haze Your Business
This year, ‘Haze Your Business’ by dressing it PURPLE before the 2008 Starlight Purple Haze Game on 29 March, and you could win a ‘Purple Haze’ experience thanks to the Fremantle Football Club and Fremantle Ports. The winning workplace will receive ten tickets to the game, tickets to watch the team train and a signed Purple Haze playing guernsey.
All you need to do is register your business by emailing the Fremantle Football Club at hazeyourbusiness@fremantlefc.com.au and once you have turned your workplace purple, email through a photo of your workplace to be in the running. All participating businesses will be mentioned on the Purple Haze section of the Fremantle Football Club website. The businesses will be judged between 24-26 March and one lucky business will be announced at the Purple Haze breakfast at Fremantle Ports on 27 March, when collection tins can also be returned. All proceeds will go to Starlight.
