The HBF Activ City to Surf is Western Australia’s largest community-sporting event across the state and the second largest across the nation. Now in its 34th year, in 2007 the event registered close to 30,000 participants.
The course remains essentially unchanged from the original 1975 layout: starting on St George’s Terrace in the Perth CBD and ending at City Beach Oval. Over the years, additional events have been added to the program to ensure people from all walks of life and levels of fitness can take part.
Participants can now compete in:
- 4km walk/run commencing at Perry Lakes Reserve
- 11km Wheelchair event
- 12km walk
- The blue ribbon event of the programme, Channel Nine 12km Run, and
- The BankWest Half Marathon
