Northern Stars is a committee of volunteers in Townsville who spend their time trying to raise much-needed funds and awareness for the Starlight Children’s Foundation to brighten the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children and their families.
The Northern Stars have many great fundraising ventures this year, with the main event being ‘Cocktails by the Sea’ in October.
Starlight’s programs make a difference in the lives of children in the Townsville region, and throughout Australia, by restoring the fun, laughter and joy that illness takes away. These programs include Starlight Wishgranting, Starlight Escapes, Starlight Express Rooms, Starlight Express Vans and Starlight Fun Centres.
