Looking for a fun and challenging team building activity, with a difference?
Would you like to help bring a smile to a child's face at one of the most challenging times of their life by challenging yourself?
Then the 2009 Teva Charity Challenge may be just what you are looking for!
The 2009 Teva Charity Challenge offers a fantastic opportunity for workplaces, social and individual groups right across Western Australia to step outside their office environment and take part in one of Australia's best team building adventures.
This fun event has been specially designed for work colleagues and friends who love a challenge and the great outdoors. Teams of three have the opportunity to compete against their colleagues and peers, to own bragging rights as Western Australia's most adventurous!
The fun filled course consists of 15-25 km of mountain biking, 8-12 km of trail running/trekking, basic navigation and team adventure challenges. The event is designed for those who have never experienced adventure racing before to come along and try their hand at one of Australia's most exciting new sports.
The mountain biking is suitable for beginners while still providing a challenge for more experienced riders and includes fire trails, tracks and some single track riding.
This series has a strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, strategy and coping with the unexpected. Challenges are a surprise at each event and you could find yourself swinging from a rope, getting wet and muddy in a water challenge or testing your ability to think outside the square.
The exact course location is only revealed five days before the event. Teams are issued with the course information and a map on the morning of the event and have about an hour to plan their strategy. There are four categories including: Premier Mixed; Male; Female and Corporate.
It's a challenge, not a race, but the ultimate satisfaction is achieved from being part of a team and most importantly, giving seriously ill children something to smile about.
Teva ask that each team of three commit to raising more than $1000 in sponsorship with all money going directly to the Starlight Children's Foundation and seriously ill children in Western Australia.
