Starlight in partnership with Virgin Australia decided to go all out to make our 13,000th wish a spectacular event!
That’s 13,000 unique and specially tailored wishes, designed to help sick kids and their families take a break from the stress of serious illness, be happy, and create new memories they’ll treasure forever!
To mark this incredible milestone, we partnered with Virgin Australia and Hamilton Island to give ten Starlight families a fun-filled trip of a lifetime.
With special guests, surprise appearances and activities galore in store, our families enjoyed an unforgettable weekend of VIP fun and laughter!

After a special send-off from Starlight Ambassadors Matty J, Timomatic and Darryl Brohman at the Virgin Australia Lounge, our families revelled in some sky-high entertainment, before landing on the specially rebranded ‘Happiness Island’ to start their weekend of fun.
A welcome dinner and talent show was followed by a surprise exclusive performance by Australian singer-songwriter Kita Alexander. Later that evening our families were delighted by a special fireworks display!
Everyone enjoyed a beautiful Whitehaven cruise, a bowling and pizza night, and a sunny beach BBQ to round out their fabulous weekend away.
