A full-circle moment for a Starlight supporter
A father from Tuncurry, NSW, has experienced a heartwarming full-circle moment after winning the $250,000 First Prize Pack in Play For Purpose Raffle 27. He purchased his ticket in support of Starlight Children’s Foundation, a cause that has supported his family through hospital visits over the years.
“Starlight has been there for my kids and our family when we needed it,” he said. “From hospital visits to surgeries, their support made a real difference in our lives. I’m very grateful.”
The prize pack includes a Toyota LandCruiser Sahara valued at $152,899 and $97,101 in gold bullion. The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said the win was unexpected and deeply meaningful.
“You’re kidding me?! That’s awesome!” he exclaimed. “I’m actually out driving for work right now, but I think I need to pull over and take a moment to let this sink in.”
This was his first time buying a Play For Purpose ticket. After receiving an email about the raffle, he decided to support a cause that had helped his family.
“I’ll have to call my wife and surprise her. She’ll be very happy.”
