The 2025 premiere season of I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! sees not one, but TWO of our Starlight Ambassadors entering the jungle!
Excitingly, our newest recruit Matty J along with Sam Thaiday are taking on the challenge in the South African jungle.
And we’re thrilled and honoured that Matty J has nominated Starlight as his charity partner! We’re sure he’ll be leading the way to take out the title of Jungle Crown!
Since becoming a Starlight Ambassador, Matty has thrown his support and enthusiasm into so many great events and activities for Starlight kids and families.
He was involved in creating unforgettable memories for sick kids at Starlight’s incredible 13,000th Wish experience. He has also brought laughter and smiles to sick kids in hospital playing games and having fun in the Starlight Express Room, and as a special guest star on Starlight TV.
Matty J said he was motivated to nominate Starlight as his chosen charity for the show after he and his wife Laura spent time in hospital with their youngest daughter Lola.
“Starlight really helps families out who are in one of the toughest situations of their entire life. I wanted to do something to help support them,” he said.
Sam has been an incredible Starlight Ambassador since 2017 and has generously given his time visiting the Starlight Express Room, supported major community fundraising events and helped to bring added fun and surprise to Starlight Wishes.
With these two amazing contestants in the mix, this season is set to be an unforgettable jungle adventure!
Matty J said, “My small role helping sick kids be as happy as can be, is something I will remember forever.”
