Five-week-old Harry's world turned upside down when his parents noticed an alarming increase in the size of his head. A CT scan revealed a cancerous brain tumour. Newborn Harry needed emergency surgery and was put on life support.
Following the operation, Harry faced another challenge with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy caused by the tumour. Yet, amidst the difficulties, Captain Starlight brought him joy through music and fun, distracting him from the pain.
"Harry has a love of music, and a visit from the Starlight Captains always brought much joy, softening the hospital treatments for Harry", says his mum Emma.
Despite his struggles, Harry earned the nickname "Happy Harry" for his resilient spirit.
Harry's love for music helped him through his most challenging times. And just like every other toddler, Harry loves the Wiggles!
When presented with a Starlight Wish, the choice was clear. Emma explains, "The Wiggles were a big part of Harry's treatment. By having him listen to their music and watch their videos, we could keep Harry calm and distracted enough for doctors to complete some of his scans without sedating him."
Thanks to generous supporters like you, Harry's Wish came true. He met his heroes, sat in the big red car, became an honorary Wiggle with a purple Wiggles outfit, enjoyed a magical show with his family, including his brothers Jack and Tom!
