Club Merrylands has been a valued long-term supporter of Starlight Children's Foundation for 14 years.
Year after year Club Merrylands goes above and beyond to support Starlight through their various annual fundraising events – the most well-known being their Annual Charity Bowls day.
Each year during Starlight Month (May) the club hosts a sea of yellow & purple for a day of lawn bowls for members and sponsors, all to raise fund for seriously ill children and young people. The day is filled with prizes, friendly competitions, auctions and food and festivities.
Thanks to their ongoing support, Club Merrylands has helped brighten the lives of 6,000 sick kids by replacing fear, stress and anxiety associated with hospital visits with fun, you and laughter.
This year, life as we know it has turned upside down. But this hasn't dampened Club Merrylands' spirit or support for Starlight.
With the passion to keep supporting Starlight, Club Merrylands is mixing up the way of fundraising for Starlight. The club has generously donated a club grant to Starlight and additionally will be running a raffle from 1st September to 1st December with portions of proceeds coming to Starlight.
