You granted a wish fit for a princess

At just two weeks old, baby Vishwa was rushed to intensive care.

Tragically, she was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease and at age four, underwent transplant surgery.

The family were then hit with the devastating news that Vishwa had another life-threatening medical condition.

Spending so much time in hospital, Vishwa missed her little sister terribly.

Amid so much pain and sadness, your support brought Vishwa the happiness she needed when she was granted her Starlight Wish.

Vishwa loves playing princesses, so she wished for a special 'Princess Room' for her and her sister to play in. The anticipation of her wish helped Vishwa through her toughest days.

Vishwa was so excited when she saw her princess room and after so much time apart, the sisters now have a special place to play together.

Vishwa's mum is so thankful for your support and said, "Starlight has changed our life; bringing us out of the sadness feels like a new life for us."

Making healthcare fun for sick kids

As part of our Healthier Futures Initiative, Captain Starlight joined health professionals at the Deadly Ears Program at Bamaga Hospital in Far North Queensland.

The program aims to reduce the incidence of middle ear disease in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.

As soon as the Captains arrived, they were met with smiling faces of the kids ready to play and have fun while they waited for their hearing checks.

The children were so excited to meet Captain Starlight because they'd never met a real superhero before. They tried on Captain Starlight's cape and discovered their own superpowers that helped them fly lightning-fast straight into their appointments!

Your support enables Captain Starlight to visit remote health clinics helping kids feel more positive about attending their vital health checks.

You're helping bring happiness to Harper

When two-year-old Harper was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, the family's world collapsed.

She was immediately admitted to hospital for treatment. The trauma of constant blood tests and needles was overwhelming for little Harper.

Thankfully, your support meant Starlight was there with the fun and happiness she needed.

The highlight of Harper's day was playing games and laughing with Captain Starlight on the hospital ward. Harper and her family also loved the Starlight Express Room - where they could be together away from the stress of hospital.

The family is so thankful for your support helping to make hospital a brighter place.

"Starlight helps kids understand that hospital visits don't always need to be feared. Thank you for helping families like ours find happiness with our children in the hardest days of our lives.' - Harper's mum
