You helped Amara meet two heroes at once!

Six-year-old Amara’s world collapsed when she was diagnosed with Cystinosis, a rare genetic condition that was causing her kidneys to fail.

Thanks to your support, however, Amara and her family had the Starlight Express Room to provide a much-needed escape from the doctors and medical equipment.

One of the most amazing moments for the family was meeting none other than the incredible Ed Sheeran, with Captain Starlight by their side!

"It was so exciting,” says mum Samantha. “Our family needed a positive at that point in our life, and it helped the world look brighter again. The Captains really do a wonderful job of keeping everyone’s spirits up.”
