Here's how to claim your tax deduction
Step 1
Donate to Starlight before 30th June. You can claim donations over $2 that were made in the previous financial year on your tax return.
Step 2
Keep a record of your donation. When you donate to Starlight, we’ll send you a receipt via email. Keep this receipt as it’s an important record of your donation and will be needed to claim your tax deduction. Our monthly donors (Shining Stars) will receive a consolidated receipt via email before the end of the financial year. If you need assistance locating your receipt please get in touch with our Supporter Engagement team.
Step 3
Complete your tax return. When it's time to complete your tax return, include your donation to Starlight as a deduction in the Gifts and Donations section.
