At just two months old, Mia Rose was diagnosed with a rare form of childhood cancer in both of her eyes. Mia Rose’s treatment is ongoing, enduring over 20 rounds of cancer treatment already, including invasive laser treatment.
Fortunately, specially trained Captain Starlights have been by Mia’s side to provide the vital positive distraction she has needed to cope with her illness.
When she’s having fun and laughing with Captain Starlight, Mia can forget the painful treatments, endless needles and fasting before surgery.
“We couldn’t do hospital life without the Captain Starlights. Her face lights up as soon as she sees them in the hospital,” says mum Carlie.
