Moments is Starlight’s program designed to brighten the lives of families living with a child in palliative care.
Unlike our Wishgranting program, Moments is designed to gift families with smaller but more regular “moments” of family connection, fun, and celebration – organising experiences the family may no longer be doing for themselves as they care for their palliative child.
These moments involve an ongoing relationship between Starlight and the family, so we are able to provide experiences that are unique and special to each household. Every ‘moment’ is built around the little things that matter to the family.
From organising a birthday party for a healthy sibling because mum and dad may not have the time or energy, to recognising special family occasions, and planning connections with extend family or community, in this program, the whole family is cared for.
