Zai's story
“As parents, all you want is your child to be happy and to just be a kid again, and that’s what Starlight does.” Zai’s mum Kalee.
Zai was just seven when his world was shattered by Neuroblastoma- a rare and aggressive childhood cancer.
His mum Kalee said the shock was overwhelming. “One day you’re running the kids to school, and the next, you’re in hospital facing the unknown.” During Zai’s long months of treatment in hospital, Starlight brought back the fun and happiness he needed.
Captain Starlight always brought a smile to Zai’s face, lifting his mood and helping him cope with every tough, lonely day in hospital.
