You've helped Captain Starlight turn fear into fun for kids in community
On a recent Healthier Futures trip with Ord Valley Community Health Services, Captain Starlight was entertaining a high-energy toddler who had waited several hours for their appointment. Despite the long wait, time flew by as they popped bubbles with the ‘bubble monster’ and played with the Captain's beach ball.
When it was time for the boy's procedure, Captain Starlight was able to help doctors keep him calm, despite his fear of needles. Captain Starlight kept the ‘bubble monster’ game going and pretty soon, there were giggles and smiles instead of tears! After his appointment, the boy was SUPER proud to be made an honorary Earth Captain, receiving his own hat and cape from Captain Starlight!
