Four-year-old Jaxon has been stuck in a traction bed in hospital for seven weeks with a broken femur after he slipped on some moss — but he still has a smile on his face.
He’s found the most fun place in hospital where he can have fun with Captain Starlight and it’s made a massive difference to his mental wellbeing.

The newly refurbished Starlight Connection Space at Canberra’s Centenary Hospital for Women and Children is filled with fun and colour with indoor and outdoor play areas. It helps sick and injured kids like Jaxon and his parents enjoy time together and take a break from worrying about his recovery.
The space has been a hit with Jaxon helping him cope with being away from his siblings and missing out on all the things he loves doing as an active toddler.
