Starlight Ambassador since 2017
From an early age, Tim’s passion was performing. At high school he was nicknamed 'Timomatic' because of his love of hip-hop dancing. He went on to attend music school and gained a Diploma in Entertainment, majoring in vocal training.
As an artist, Tim loves how Starlight creatively engages with kids. Seeing Captain Starlight in action on the wards at Royal Darwin Hospital sparked his motivation to become a Starlight Ambassador.
“From my very first visit, I knew I wanted to help and be a part of this organisation. Starlight gives me an incredible opportunity to share positivity and bring joy to kids facing massive adversities. To see kids faces light up when they’re around Captain Starlight is really special,” he said.
Tim is always willing to lend his support and creative talents to help bring happiness to kids and families and we are so thankful for his time, energy and enthusiasm.
He has performed at various Star Ball and Five Chefs gala events, donated auction prizes and in 2018 helped launch our brand-new Starlight Express Room at the Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.
As a regular visitor to the Starlight Express Room, Tim shares his musical talents and has joined in Starlight Christmas and Starlight Day events bringing much-needed cheer to kids in hospital.
He was also a big hit at our Starlight 30th anniversary celebrations, teaching kids all the latest dance moves.
Proving his moves extend to the sporting arena too, Tim took part in the Kick 4 Kids charity soccer tournament to raise funds for sick kids. Tim also joined the line-up of special guests in our virtual Stream Raiser event and has also entertained kids and teens with special Starlight Instagram live performance, and supported Livewire’s Got Talent competition.

It’s great to see how technology can be used to help bring happiness to kids when and where they need it most.”
Judging by the smiles on the kid's faces, Timomatic’s own brand of fun is helping to brighten the lives of sick kids.
About: Tim rose to fame as a contestant on the TV show So You Think You Can Dance in 2009, and in 2011 he appeared as a contestant on Australia's Got Talent. Later that year, he released his first single, "Set It Off" which reached number two on the ARIA Singles Chart and went four times platinum in Australia. The award-winning musician has also produced records, choreographed musicals, been a dance judge on TV and performed to global audiences and supported leading international artists. Recently, Tim has held leading roles in both Moulin Rouge The Musical and Tina Turner The Musical and 2024 he released new music which he has been touring and performing.
