Starlight Day 2025 - Welcome to the happiest day of the year
Starlight Day is more than just a fundraising day – it's a celebration of the incredible impact Starlight supporters create and the transformative power of happiness!
It’s a super-charged day of fun in Starlight Express Rooms across the country with Captain Starlights, Ambassadors, volunteers and special guests bringing lasting smiles to sick kids and their families in hospital.
This year Captain Starlight created a set of awesome challenges and activities for kids to complete including a rocky tower of cups and a fun game of scoop the loop. Kids were all smiles as they raced to get their Passports stamped as they completed each challenge and took home a special Starlight wand!
In Starlight Express Rooms in NSW, Ambassadors including Timomatic, Matty J, Hayden Quinn, Craig Alexander and Darryl Brohman generously came along to be part of the celebrations and shared their singing, dancing and gaming skills!
In Perth, Bailey Banfield and players from the Fremantle Dockers delighted kids and families and in Queensland, former NRL star Sam Thaiday and Super Swim Ambassador Ky Hurst joined in the celebrations. Chef Benjamin Cooper whipped up some fun in the Starlight Express Room at Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital while many more supported through their own social and professional networks.
Our incredible corporate Partners joined in Starlight Week activations including Caltex petrol stations, Mineral Resources Limited, The Lott and Spotlight. They generously supported in a range of ways including matching donations, fundraising initiatives and engaging their teams, customers and communities (often wearing purple & yellow!) to help bring happiness to sick kids.
Starlight Day coincided with National Volunteer Week and this year’s theme, Connecting Communities, perfectly captures the power of our volunteers - bringing people together around shared moments of fun, joy and laughter. We simply couldn’t do what we do without our amazing volunteers who shine brightly not just on Starlight Day but every day!
