Brooke Hanson OLY OAM made her debut for the Australian Swimming Team at the 1994 Commonwealth Games before going on to represent Australia over 25 times at major international championships.
In 2004 Brooke climbed her personal Everest, when, after missing two Olympic teams in 1996 and 2000, she won her Olympic gold and silver medals in Athens.

As a proud Starlight Ambassador, Brooke first experienced the incredible impact Starlight has on sick kids and families through the hospital journey of her late son Jack Hanson Clarke.

Having also spent time in the Starlight Express Room at Queensland Children’s Hospital with her third child Billy, Brooke and her family are passionate about Starlight and the healing power of play.
Since joining Starlight, Brooke has been heavily involved in fundraising events including hosting the Five Chefs Dinner in Brisbane and diving in to support sick kids with Starlight’s Super Swim Challenge.
She also has delighted families on the Gold Coast as part of Wish Week, where families from all around Australia come together for a fun beach-side holiday.
Whether it’s swimming laps, hosting events or seeing sick kids enjoy their wishes by spending a day at the beach, the smiles and happiness continue to inspire Brooke to do bring more awareness to the amazing work Starlight does.
